This is the message I presented to the Life Covenant Church high school youth group, Voltage, about the older son as part of a series we were doing about the Parable of the Lost (or Prodigal) Son. Voltage is an outreach ministry, so we’ve got a mix of students who are devoted to Christ, and those that aren’t.
Please keep this audience in mind as you’re listening. Would I present this message in the same way, or using the same references, if I were giving it as a sermon on Sunday? Not a chance.
